    Description

    1969 Suzuki T-500 2-Stroke / Art Baumann Win - 2-Page Vintage Motorcycle Ad
Suzuki opened this bottle on Sept. 7, 1969: The first time in history a two-stroke won the open class in an AMA national road race.
In the 37 years of AMA road racing, every bike that took the checkered flag in first place was a four stroke...until Sept. 7 at the Sears Point Nationals.
Then a Suzuki T-500 ridden by Art Baumann won the national 125 mile open road race
Another T-500 ridden by Ron Grant was in second place for over half the race...
...still another T-500 Suzuki ridden by Jim Dunn won the 50 mile Amateur
The age of Suzuki two-stroke has just begun...
