Gorgeous colors!
Fossil measures about 4.5” by 2.25”.
For identification I referred to the Neogene Atlas of Ancient Life and contacted the University of Florida Museum of Natural History’s Invertebrate Paleontology Collections Department and they identified as a Pilocene era fossil from the Pinecrest Beds of the Tamiami Formation.
