Up for auction is a large Haliotis rufescens. It measures 207 mm (8.15 inches). It is in very good condition. It was live collected at 35 feet, off Cape San Martine, California in 1968. There is wear on the dorsal side at the spire and some surface wear typical of this rock dwelling species. There is one flake on the thinner edge of the shell. There is a 10 mm blister pearl on the interior!
