Harpa Seashell Harp Shell Vintage Natural Harpa ARTICULARIS Florida Beach Decor

This is a gorgeous, natural Harpa Seashell also known as the Harp shell. I am no shell expert but after reviewing identification charts, it appears to be either a Harpa Articularis or Harpa Major shell. The shell boasts spectacular pink and beige bands between layers with a moire- chevron like wave pattern. I inherited the shell over 35 years ago from an avid Florida collector. Normally, he found the shells in his collection locally, but my research indicates this type of shell is more common in the Pacific. It is in wonderful condition although there are a couple of spots with some natural shedding (see photo closeups) and measures about 3.5" long and 2"5 wide.
