Janthina janthina -Violet Sea Snail -VERY hard to find Florida shell -beach find

Gorgeous, rare, and very seldom offered Janthina janthina. This one, to my eyes, is excellent. There are no major chips, discoloration, etc. VERY hard to find, and only show up only on rare occasions. Many shellers consider them a "bucket list" shell to find... NOTE: These are almost always offered as slightly or considerably damaged, as the shell is paper thin to allow it to float in the open ocean. Shell will be very similar to the one pictured, which was also found by me. THIS IS AS MINT A CONDITION AS YOU CAN FIND - WITH INCREDIBLE COLOR!!!

All shells have been personally beach collected by me in Palm Beach County, Florida. I only collect and offer empty shells. Any shells I find with living inhabitants are always immediately returned to the ocean. I don't offer "diver collected" shells, as generally they were taken from where they live, and offered empty after the living creature inside is forcibly removed (killed). I collect with a shell bag AND a trash bag for any beach refuse I may find.
I have had the privilege of rescuing beached fish, injured birds, and lost turtles. I always try to leave the beach a little better than when I got there. A portion of every sale goes toward coral reef protection and/or sea turtle protection. FREE SHIPPING. USA buyers only.
