LeapFrog LeapPad 2 Rechargeable Batteries, Tested, Hold a Great Charge, Rebuilt - Like New. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS First Class.  A brand new LeapFrog battery recharger pack is over new.  These will perform like new!
This listing is for 2 battery packs - one for each side, 1 left and 1 right - necessary to run ONE LeapPad.  The LeapPad 2 in the picture DOES NOT come with the sale - it is shown for demonstration purposes only.
These are REBUILT battery packs that are refurbished by me.  I carefully removed the old rechargeable NiMh batteries and replaced them with a very similar, but better quality and longer lasting, batteries.  The cases have to be cracked open, and the ends have to be ground down, to get the old batteries out so the cases look a little chewed up on the seam and the ends but they work GREAT!  See the pictures.  I just wanted to offer an affordable option to changing out regular AA batteries all the time or trying to find new/unused LeapFrog battery packs that cost up to if you can find them at all.
Buy with confidence!  The replaced rechargeable batteries are brand new and have not been sitting around for years or have a questionable life left.  The casing is the only used part.  I stand behind their reliability.
You need the LeapFrog rechargeable battery packs with the white cases if you want to be able to recharge the batteries with the LeapPad recharger cord while the battery packs are still in the LeapPad.  If you do not have the white cases with the built in regulators, and the "connectors" that stick out of the side, then plugging in using the LeapPad recharger cord will not recharge your own rechargeable batteries.  Your rechargeable batteries without the white cases will have to be removed each time they die to recharge them in your own recharger.  These rebuilt battery packs are wonderful because they recharge, with the LeapFrog recharger cord, while staying right in your LeapPad.

These batteries typically fully charge in 3-4 hours.  I tested these just prior to listing them and they held a great charge for over 3 1/2 hours of me turning the LeapPad2 on and off repeatedly 45 times for 4 minute intervals of the auto shut off.  These are basically brand new rechargeable battery packs.  These battery packs are incredibly useful and convenient.  We love these LeapPad 2s.  Our kids have had a bunch of them.
These rebuilt battery packs are conveniently left right in the LeapPad2 while recharging.  All you have to do is plug the charging cord into the charging slot on the LeapPad2 and it recharges without having to mess around taking the battery covers off or removing batteries.  This is very convenient when you have a really small youngster who would have trouble figuring out how to change batteries or getting those pesky battery covers off the back.
Warning:  You can put your own regular rechargeable batteries in your LeapPad2 but you will not be able to charge the batteries while they are still inside the LeapPad2.  These battery packs have regulators built in to avoid overheat and overcharge.  They also connect to the recharge terminals that connect to the recharge port.  Regular rechargeable batteries do not connect to the recharge port and will therefor not recharge while in the LeapPad.
