    Description

Pete Gray’s All Stars program from October 1945
    signed by FRANK SINATRA
. An original signature of Frank Sinatra is on the back cover of the program – in pencil.
The number “8” was written next to Sinatra’s signature.
Not sure if that was written by Sinatra or the recipient of the autograph, but Sinatra did wear the #8 for these games. Program measures approximately 7” x 10”. Also includes ticket stub. The program seems to indicate that there were two games in October 1945, one of the games featuring the Swooners led by Frank Sinatra at second base, Jules Styne, Anthony Quinn and others. See scans! The place was Gilmore Field in Los Angeles, CA.
Gilmore field was the home of the Hollywood Stars from the Pacific Coast League (1939-1957) and Pittsburgh Pirates spring training in 1948.
Watermark "ebay" does not appear on the actual item. Condition is very good for being over 70 years old! Any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Reasonable offers considered.
Here is your opportunity to own a vintage Frank Sinatra signature – an authentic autograph from early in his career. Vintage, authentic Sinatra signatures are very rare! This is a must-have piece for the serious Sinatra collector. Also, a unique opportunity to own a vintage Sinatra signature from a specific date!
A terrific investment - the signature of a legend.
Many people try to sell Sinatra signatures – some authentic, but must not authentic. Do your research before you buy a Sinatra signature. Rule of thumb – if the price is too good to be true, it probably is. Consult with industry experts like third party authenticators if you are unsure or have doubts.
Sinatra was a willing autograph signer throughout his career (60+ years), however many forgeries and secretarial signatures exist in the market today. It is widely known that Sinatra utilized secretaries to deal with his mail correspondence, including autograph requests, as far back as 1939-1940. Many (some would argue MOST) of the Sinatra signatures you see for sale in the market today are classic examples of secretarial signatures from the 1970's - 1990's or outright forgeries. Do not take on the risk of buying a Sinatra signature that you do not have confidence in. Look for signatures that have credible background and provenance.
Sales tax applied and collected directly by eBay, where applicable.
I have been collecting Sinatra signatures for a long time and have some other items like the one for sale here that I am considering selling in the future. So if you have any questions, please let me know! Thanks for looking!
Also please take a look at my other listing - lots of vintage Frank Sinatra autographs!
