Up for auction is a pretty Spondylus tenellus. It measures 68 mm (posterior end to valve edge). It is in very good condition. It has pretty peach-colored delicate spines on both valves. One valve has an india ink ID number from a previous collector. This shell was collected from deep water in Victoria, Australia.
