Stunning Italian Verdura Silver Overlay Conch Shell Art Figurine Beach Nautical

Presented is a fabulous Italian silver overlay seashell decoration. This piece dates to around the 1960s-1980s and is signed by Verdura. The decoration is a real conch shell which has been covered in a layer of pure silver, with beautiful patina and texturing. The actual shell can be seen inside, through its natural opening, but without turning it over the shell appears to be solid silver. The overlay is thick and heavy, and this is a very well made, high quality piece of decor.
This piece is in great condition. The silver overlay is all intact. The shell, insofar as it is visible, has no breaks.
This piece is stamped Verdura as well as 'Made in Italy.'
The shell is about 5 1/2 inches long.
