Description

The Ventures! Vintage 1964 SIGNED Walk, Don’t Run Vol. 2 Album!  I’m thinking that this is a one-of-a-kind hand signed Lp Cover by all four original members.  It was signed by Don Wilson (Rhythm and Lead Guitar) , Bob Bogle (Lead and bass guitar), Nokie Edwards (Lead and Bass guitar),  and Mel Taylor (Drums).  All band members signed in blue pen except for Nokie Edwards’ felt tip pen signature.   There is a fifth signature that I’m guessing belongs to Gerry McGee, although I am unable to find an exemplar of his signature.  If it is McGee’s signature, it raises an interesting question.  According to Wikipedia, Nokie Edwards left the band in 1968 to be replaced by Gerry McGee.  If the fifth signature is indeed that of Gerry McGee, then this album would appear to have been signed by McGee and the other original band members in about 1968.  I am speculating that Nokie Edwards’ signature was added at a different time, as he returned to the band in 1973.
All band members mentioned are deceased except for Don Wilson.
Bob Bogle and died in Vancouver, Washinton on June 14, 2009, of
non-Hodgkin lymphoma
; he was 75. Nokie Edwards died on March 12, 2018, due to complications after hip surgery. He was 82. Gerry McGee died on October 12, 2019, after collapsing onstage four days earlier in Japan. He was 81.
One of the band members signed “To ‘Bob’” as seen in one of the above photos.
The cover is in good condition with a small split at the top left-had corner,   All four corners have been bumped and are not sharp as a result.  The LP sleeve is wrinkled and has a tear around the label hole.  The vinyl appears to be in Good +  condition
I am selling my collection of autographs that I have purchased several years ago from an array of sources – from eBay sellers, from dealers with professional credentials, and from the signers themselves via the mail.  Some came with COA’s; most did not.  When I obtained these signatures, I believed them to be genuine and I believed that they were genuine when I posted them on Ebay.
I have received opinions from others, including PSA/DNA whose opinion I sought, indicating that some of the signatures that I have posted were not likely to be genuine.  I have pulled those questionable signatures, and will not post them for sale again in the future.  It is not my intention to sell autographs that are not authentic, and I will continue do my best to try to ensure that the signatures that I am offering are genuine.  As indicated below, all signatures that I sell come with a money-back guarantee if they are judged to be of doubtful authenticity.
If the signature or signatures are determined to be inauthentic by a well-recognized autograph expert, this item may be returned for a full refund.
