Vintage Jane Snead Samplers Cross-Stitch Sampler Design Linen “Bird On Branch”

Description

This is a vintage unused “Keepsake Needlework” embroidery sampler. This sampler was originally sold through the Jane Snead Samplers mail-order company, formerly located in Philadelphia, PA. The company was in operation from the 1960’s through the 1990’s.
Stitches featured in this sampler: Cross Stitch and some Satin Stitch and Outline Stitch. The cross stitch measures 10 X’s per inch.
Size: The entire piece of linen measures approximately 9 x 10-3/4 inches, so the finished framed size would be slightly smaller.

thread or instruction sheet included with this sampler. It is just the pattern printed on linen.

Condition: New (old stock). Never used. The sampler may have creases from being folded over the years. These creases will naturally work themselves out as you are handling and embroidering the linen, and any still left may be ironed out between two damp towels after completion during the stretching and framing process.
Each Jane Snead sampler is an original design and each pattern was silk-screened by hand onto 100% pure Belgian linen.
